On Nov. 12-14, Gateway College of Evangelism was pleased to host 70 incredible prospective students for our fall preview weekend.
Preview weekend gives high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to test-drive the Gateway College of Evangelism experience. Prospective students have plenty of opportunities to check out the academics, dorms, social life, and spiritual aspect of the College. We began Thursday evening with dinner and registration prior to our first of two SHINE services with Rev. Brent Coltharp. I know that my life and the lives of others were eternally changed on Thursday night by our collaborative worship and by the ministry of Bro. Coltharp.
Friday started early with an amazing breakfast and then a full day of classes, giving prospective students an idea of what our courses are like on a regular basis. Bro. Coltharp ministered to us again in our mid-day chapel service, followed by lunch and a Q and A session. Students had full access to the campus and dorms so as to get a realistic view of what life would be like should they choose to attend. Friday evening we enjoyed a great dinner, and then under the direction of Keith Pace, Gateway’s Choir, Chorale, and United ministered in worship. Later that evening, current and prospective students shared in ice-skating and athletic activities at the St. Peters Rec-Plex into the next morning.
Finishing up the weekend was a brunch where prospective students had the opportunity to speak with faculty members and staff about admissions requirements and any other questions not yet answered in any of the sessions.
Gateway College of Evangelism hosts a Preview Weekend each term. If you have any questions about attending a Preview Weekend, please contact David Molina at 314-838-8858, or visit us on the web at www.gatewaycollege.net.
